The restaurant offers good Punjabi Food and a scenic view of agricultural fields from the 8th Floor adjoining the building.
The ambiance is very simple - Tables with Charpai's which give it a typical dhaba feel. The restaurant is enclosed with glass on all sides and air-conditioned to give a comfortable eating experience. They do have a small open terrace which will be available for customers soon. They do not plan to have a Bar as their focus is on serving good food and make it a family oriented place where people who do not want free flowing alcohol around and have a peaceful dinner. Of course, they do play some delectable Punjabi music and thankfully it's more of Gurdas Maan types rather than Yo-Yo Honey Singh!
The tasting started with Aam Panna followed by the Starters - Achari Murg, Tangdi Kebabs, Dahi De Sholey, Afghani Chaap, Mozzarella Sticks and Lagan Ki Boti.
Both the Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian options are nicely done. The Afghani Chaap, Tangdi Kebabs, Lagan Ki Boti and Achari Murg were the highlights of the starters. Those who love cheese can opt for Mozarella Sticks but be aware the portion size is huge.
The Main Course consisted of Dal Bukhara, Bhuna Murg and Rara Chaap all of which were delightful. The slow cooked Dal Bukhara was absolutely tasty.
Main Course was served along with Amritsari Kulcha, Kesari Paratha, Laccha Paratha and Naan Changezi. We also tried the Mutton Biryani which was flavorful and lip-smacking.
The Desserts consisted of the all time favorite - Gulab Jamun, Kesar Vali Kheer and Shahi Tukda. All the desserts were perfect especially the Kesar Vali Kheer was outstanding.
Overall it was a enjoyable experience with good Punjabi food, Punjabi Music and a very humble Punjabi host. All dishes are priced between Rs. 200-Rs.350/- and they have home delivery in the locality. Special Thanks to KarmaPr for arranging this food tasting.
